and I just realized I never did a 22 week post. Errrrrm ok I haven't posted in 2 weeks. Shame. But I've been working on wedding things for my sister in law (whose wedding is now only a bit over a month away!)... programs, wedding slideshow, fittings, showers.
And I've been paying more attention to being the best pregnant wife/mommy I can be. I started this pregnancy off completely exhausted, with no desire to cook, clean, play with Gigi (she spent a lot of time watching TV during my 1st tri... again... shame), and no desire to "satisfy" Hubbs (been working on that one in the last few weeks too... although it's getting tougher with a growing belly).
But I'm happy to say I have a happy husband who comes to home to a home cooked meal at least 5-6 nights a week, a happy daughter who has been enjoying quality play time with mommy, a spotless house, and a fridge/pantry full of groceries. I know those should all be things that come with being a wife/mom, but it's tough being pregnant when you already have a kid! I'm sure MOST mothers can agree with me on that one [and don't make me feel bad if you don't agree... thanks :) ]
So anyway, here is the "weekly" (bi weekly, etc in my case) survey:
- How far along? 23w 1d.
- Total weight gain: 13 lbs.
- Maternity clothes? All bottoms, yes. Mostly maternity tops too.
- Stretch marks? None new.
- Sleep: Getting harder. I wake up a couple of times a night to pee and to stretch my back... the back pain is killer right now.
- Best moment this week: Getting a date night with Hubbs for V-day :)
- Miss Anything? Still missing my non amazon boobs.
- Movement: Tons!
- Food cravings: Breakfast foods.
- Food aversions: Just Italian food.
- Gender: Boy.
- Labor Signs: Nope.
- Symptoms: Back pain, gas (seriously it's bad), itchy belly & boobs.
- Belly Button in or out? Out!
- Wedding rings on or off? On.
- Looking forward to: My best friend, Mrs. D, is coming to visit in less than a week!!!!
Here is a pic of Hubbs & I before our Valentine's date...
Dress: Isabella Oliver (got it for less than half price on Zulily!)
Shoes: Steve Madden
And here I am at 23 weeks + 1 day!
I have lots of new pics to share in the next few days too I promise :)

Wow, you've really grown in these past couple of weeks....So cute!!!! I can barely do all of those things and I'm not even pregnant again. So, don't even worry about it.
ReplyDeleteYou have the cutest baby belly! And don't feel bad in the slightest about slacking in the 1st tri. We've all been there. I'm 11 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby and my house has been a disaster. I also spent a week of baking a 3 tier cake and 80 cake pops for my SIL's baby shower and that made a huge mess! ;) We've all been there. I'm just finally starting to get the energy to get anything done! These babies (in the belly and out!) take a lot out of their mommies!
ReplyDeleteawwwww how cute R U?!?!?!?!? like the cutest preggo lady ever! Makes me wanna have baby V #3 hehehehehe
ReplyDeleteand yes being pregnant with a toddler is defintely a challenge.....but you'll manage!
I'm not a mom yet, but I worked in daycare for about a decade and every time one of my toddler moms was pregnant with a new baby, that is EXACTLY what they all said. Even if they had identical pregnancies, they said the second one was a LOT harder because they didn't have the same luxuries as the first time around. They couldn't just lay down and nap when they were tired and nobody was begging to go outside and play.
ReplyDeleteNo lie, we had one mom who switched to half day work days around her 25th week and she used to leave her little dude with us at school until 4 so she could nap! Because it was just too hard to do dinner, bath, and the bedtime routine if she didn't have a small rest in the afternoon.
You look gorgeous!
you look great Mrs.F!
ReplyDeleteyou look fantastic! i cannot believe we are both more than halfway done with this pregnancy.. and seriously- growing a human AND running around after a toddler? is NO joke! im in LOVE with those shoes, lady! Gorgeous! So, I have to admit- I'm kind of ridiculously excited to meet you at breakfast with Laur next weekend! Yay! We can... chat over mocktail mimosas, no? ;) Happy Thursday!!
ReplyDeleteI will have to agree 100% that being pg with #2 is much harder than #1. You don't have the luxury to take a nap when you want; to lay around if you want; to just be lazy and bask your every growing belly. You have a busy toddler to chase after; tend too and provide enough attention too. I feel you!! My doc said that 2nd babes generally sit a little lower, so that could be your cause for the back pain. My back has been God awful this pregnancy... But, only 2 weeks left of it, so I can handle it!! Lookin' fabulous Mrs. F!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are very talented at taking self portraits! You look beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteYou look SO freaking cute as always! See if you can convince Laur to blog again while she's there! ;)
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I love your nail polish in your belly picture, what shade is it? :)
ReplyDeletewow you are getting big (in a good way) I love love how cute you look on vday and how perfect the dress makes your belly!
ReplyDeleteI love your dress for date night!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya on the energy level. I'm only a few weeks along, but it is far enough along to be exhausted and nauseous all.day.long. I second that it is harder this time around. When I was expecting E, I was asleep on the couch by 7. Can't really do that so much this time around, but it's so hard not to. I'm looking forward to having more energy come second tri. And I'm sure E and hubs are too!
Thank you, ladies! And it's good to know I'm not alone on the slacking during pregnancy :)
ReplyDeletenani- The polish is "Case Study" by Essie... I'm obsessed with all Essie colors!
You look GREAT! I'm 6 weeks ahead of you and I have an almost 2 1/2 yr old girl and I can TOTALLY identify with the first tri exhaustion and the mommy guilt for turning on the TV a little too much during those first couple months of pregnancy. I'm sooo glad to be feeling more energetic and back to "normal"
ReplyDeleteI saw that isabella Oliver sale on Zulily but the smaller sizes sold out so quick there was nothing left in my size!
You look amazing!!! You and hubs look smoking for your date night!!! I hope you are feeling amazing!!! xoxo

ReplyDeleteI'm a mom to two toddlers and have a newborn. I totally know how you feel. It was tough being pregnant with the two at first but after a bit it did get easier. Now Being a mom to two with a newborn is a whole different story, we are still settling in and getting used to a new schedule. You sound like you are doing a great job and are a wonderful mama and wife!
